Frequently asked questions

I am a beginner can I still participate and do well on my painting?

This is open to ALL levels including beginners. So yes, this is beginner friendly and the artist Divinity who works with beginners will be able to guide you step by step. Feel free to ask for help.

What does the ticket include?

The ticket includes a 3 hour experience (painting, supplies, outlined of your pet on 16"x20" canvas and step by step instructions) and a Korna Pet $50 gift card with personal shopping experience

How is the pet outlined on the canvas?

Once Divinity, artist gets your pet photo she will hand sketch your fur baby onto canvas so all you need to focus on is having FUN painting.

When do I need to send my photo in by?

To ensure Divinity has plenty of time to hand sketch your fur baby, all photos must be submitted by Aug 19, 2024 to party@divinitychan.com

Can I paint more than one pet on one canvas?

Due to time constraints, we can accommodate only one pet per painting per person

So each ticket includes a $50 gift certificate that I can use at Korna Pets?

Yes! Korna Pets has generously offered a great deal for those attending this event. You can use this for in-store shopping. So if you need to pick something up this is a great time to use this towards your purchase.

What kind of paints will we be using?

We will be using liquid flow acrylic paints as its beginner friendly and dries quickly. If you make a mistake it is real easy to paint over it. If you do get paint on your clothes be sure to head to the washroom to wash it off before it dries.

Can I buy my ticket at the event?

Unfortunately not, check back for more events!

Where can I find parking near Korna Pets in Kitsilano?

There are plenty of parking in the residential areas along  Maple Street, underground parking is available behind the store. 

Can you tell me about the artist who is teaching and hosting the event?

Having taught beginner classes and events (private, corporate, public and team building), her teaching style is relaxed creating a fun and upbeat environment. She breakdowns each class step by step while providing space for students’ creativity to flow where it may. Students leave feeling confident.

Can kids come paint or is it just adults?

Yes kids are more than welcome to come paint. I would recommend kids 10 years old and older so they can grasp the skills needed to paint along.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, calm pets are welcome. The event will not have in and out access, so please ensure your pet has gone to the bathroom before attending.
